At the end of March 2019, the time-honored Grindelwald-Männlichen gondola lift (GGM) ceased operation after more than 40 years. It has already been reopened on December 14, 2019. The replacement of the GGM with a modern 10-seater gondola lift is part of the V-Bahn generation project of Jungfrau Railways and the Männlichenbahn. At the same time, the "Grindelwald Terminal" public transport station of the Bernese Oberland Railway is another project element going into operation. You can reach the bottom station of the RCD directly from the new station via the conveyor railroad. This partial opening of the V-Bahn with the new GGM and the direct public transport connection will already bring a significant increase in quality for winter sports guests.
